In-Game Host, Tampa Bay Rays (Major League Baseball), St. Petersburg, FL              2007-Present

Host pre-game ceremonies, between-inning contests, and baseball-themed shows inside Tropicana Field.  Interview and get the best out of kids, adults, and baseball players.  Introduce post-game concerts, host community events, and star in special projects.  Satisfy the entertainment needs of fans of all types--be it kids, baseball fanatics, or families.

In-Game Host, Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League), St. Paul, MN              2006-Present

Host contests, read copy, and interview kids and fans during home Minnesota Wild games.  Maintain professional atmosphere when needed, but able to turn it up to entertain and energize the “Team of 18,000.”

In-Arena Host, US Figure Skating, Various Locations              2008-Present

Conduct interviews and host contests with an eclectic base of fans at US Figure Skating events, including the last three US Championships and 2009 World Championships.  Also interview past champions and present sponsors, read copy, and keep fans entertained during event down-time.

In-Arena Host, WCHA Final Five (College Hockey), St. Paul, MN              2007-Present

Host contests, read copy, and conduct entertaining interviews at a tournament some fans plan their vacations around.  Work off-the-cuff with fans during pre-game to give audience an inside look at the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s heavily attended conference tournament.

Public Address Announcer, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis MN              2009-Present

Fill in as announcer at Gopher hockey games and wrestling matches.  Announce scores, goals, match-ups, and results by gently motivating crowd when be and keeping it tame when it’s not.

Public Address Announcer, MN Swarm (Nat’l Lacrosse League), St. Paul, MN              2006-2009

Kept fans informed and entertained during the “Fastest Games on Turf.”  Relayed goal and penalty information, read copy, hosted contests, interviewed fans, made snide comments during play, and worked with game director and music man to entertain the 10,000 at home Swarm games.

Announced batters, contests, sponsor copy, and coordinated the chaos that exists at one of the most successful minor league baseball clubs in America.  Earned job by performing stand-up comedy as part of the interview process.

Education

University of Minnesota, Morris

Speech Communication Major, Political Science Minor.  Commencement speaker.  Acted as announcer for many of the school’s teams.  Published for work on “Where has the Jesse Voter Gone?” 

Hobbies and interests

Enjoy home construction, yard work, golf, ice fishing, and reading.  Prior to becoming a full-time announcer, was employed as a landscaper and substitute teacher in Buffalo, MN.  Cover the public address announcing duties for high school alma mater when available, and also announce high school wrestling play-by-play for local radio station.
